RENT
is an iconic rock musical with music, lyrics and book by Jonathan Larson. It tells the story of a group of friends living in New York’s Alphabet City neighborhood during the AIDS crisis. It celebrates the lives of young artist and activists struggling with poverty, health issues and injustice.
Rent was originally produced in New York by New York Theatre Workshop and on Broadway by Jeffrey Seller, Kevin McCollum, Allan S Gordon and New York Theatre Workshop
